CANCER SUPPORT FRANCE - LANGUEDOC
Tel: 04 67 44 87 06
This has become CSF-Languedoc's most important awareness and fundraising event and is timed to coincide with CSF awareness week nationally.
We are offering a new walk this year, still in the Montagnac area but using the very special circuit of the sculptures in the vineyards: http://www.terroir-dart.com/francais/terroir-dart-les-statues.html .
We are offering the choice of a shorter walk (5.5km) and a longer one (11km).
In line with requests, we have organised a guided walk for each circuit. The guided walk for the longer circuit will leave at 9.30 and for the shorter one at 10.30. People can of course walk either circuit on their own or with their own group for which we will supply a simple map and instructions to follow the signage.
A picnic is planned in the area around the parking after the walk and people are invited to bring food, chairs, tables and umbrellas to join in the fun! (Please note barbecues will not be allowed because of fire risk.)
As there is no need to book lunch this year, registrations will not be required in advance. Registration forms in English and French are available and should be brought on the day. Registration will open at 9.00.
As previously anyone who wishes to raise sponsorship to support our work is welcome to do so. For those not wishing to raise sponsorship, we invite a minimum donation of 5€ per person at registration.Sponsorship forms in English and French are available.
All information regarding the walk can be accessed on our website at
Secondly, we have the date for our CSF Walk for Life, which will be 29 September, using parts of the vignerons/statues walk by Montagnac.

Suggested parking in Lidl Car Park, which involves a five minute walk. Try to avoid arriving between 11.45-12.15, when schools come out, as the Boulevard Sarasin becomes congested at that time. For those who require, there will be a 'Valet Service', thus enabling you to drive up to the venue and have a CSF member park your car for you.
Do contact us if you require disable parking as we will have limited availability on site.
Our branch of Cancer Support France offers linguistic, practical and emotional support in English, to people touched by cancer, who live in the Languedoc region. Departments covered are the Aveyron (12), Gard (30), Herault (34) and Lozere (48).
See the website at www.csf-languedoc.com for details.
All calls to the Helpline are answered within 24 hours if not sooner as we use an answerphone system, unfortunately we cannot man a phone line in person all the time.
For anyone not wanting to leave a message on the Helpline, we can also be emailed, leaving a phone number where we can call you back.
We hold regular fund raising and publicity events throughout the year.
We have a drop in day open for anyone to attend on the last Thursday of each month (except July, August and December). The venue details are available on our website.
We always welcome new members, be it people who wish to be actively involved with CSFL or people who just want to be kept aware of what is going on: 'Friends of CSFL'. The annual membership fee is 10€ per person.
We hold members meetings on a quarterly basis and encourage anyone who is interested in joining us to attend.
Anyone wishing to become an active volunteer, who might come into contact with the general public while working for CSF-Languedoc, is required to undergo the training programme. Training within our branch is ongoing with all volunteers being given regular top up refresher training.
